Tanglewood Guitars were proudly flying the British flag at Frankfurt this year, securing the largest UK Guitar company booth at Musik Messe in a prominent area centrally located in the Main Acoustic Hall 3.1.

This year it combined our main acoustic booth with a secondary electric booth directly adjacent, which proved to be a big hit keeping the entire range of over 300 models together in one place. The stand was always busy, with five more countries signing up at the show for exclusive distribution... and on the public day both booths were packed with consumers gathering to see and play the latest products.

Launched very excitingly was the brand new Sundance Natural series, consisting of our most popular body shapes,

TW15 OP (Dreadnought),

TW45 OP E (Super Folk Cutaway Electro),

TW55 OP E (Super Jumbo Cutaway Electro),

TW70 OP( Orchestra) .

All of these guitars are Solid tops with open pore back and sides. But more importantly hitting a price point of over 12 years ago. These guitars start from just £399 retail.

New for 2012, another stunning range unveiled was the Java Ukuleles. These beautiful crafted Ukuleles are made from a selection of solid tops, either Koa, Spruce or Cedar, with exotic timber back and sides such as Koa & Quilted Spalt Maple.

Tanglewood were also delighted to announce their new collaboration with the legendary Manuel Rodriguez design house of Madrid .

Manuel Rodriguez junior has designed a unique specification for Tanglewood that will represent both a Laminated Top Concert Classical and a Solid Top Concert Classical. Check the next news feature for the full story...

Michael Sanden, Scandinavia's most famous luthier, was on the booth every day to discuss the flagship Tanglewood MasterDesign by Sanden range, and to demonstrate his own hand built masterpieces.

As detailed above, from a business perspective, even more countries were added to the now massive Tanglewood World Distribution Partner program with Israel, Dubai, Hong Kong, Bulgaria & Portugal all joining the Tanglewood family.
