Jazz, Blues and Country Guitarist, Banjoist and Entertainer.

From cruises, theatres and cabaret, to performances for the Royal Variety, Warren James has had a varied career of 30 years and still hasn’t reached his 40th birthday. Having performed in Germany, America and Canada, Warren specialises in delivering nostalgic and fun performances  that include the magnificent songs of his hit parade heroes, including: Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Eddie Cochran, Joe Brown and Lonnie Donegan.

In addition to his solo career, Warren tours with a number of first class and highly respected  traditional jazz and blues shows that perform the music of the 1920s and 1930s, such as: Baby Jools & The Jazzaholics, The Jake Leg Jug Band and The Lonnie Donegan Story. With each of these shows he plays banjo and guitar, as well as fronting as vocalist.

In 2019 he created his own packaged theatre show and then in 2022 “Walk on Back to Happiness” was staged to great success in UK theatres.

Warren James has shared billing with and  performed alongside prestigious stars of British rock and pop music such as Brian May, Joe Brown and Lonnie Donegan, to name a few.

A loyal user of Tanglewood guitars – for over a decade Warren James has used the same TW40 O AN E.

“When I first played my Tanglewood it just felt a part of me, it had all the look of a 000 but somehow it felt more robust and fitting for my style of playing – and after 10 years it has proven to be nothing less than a work horse and a reliable part of my busy musical career, it has never failed me once and it has now done over 1800 shows”.
