Parlour guitars, with their diminutive physical dimensions and vintage styling always stand out on a retailers wall, but in reality, this was the original acoustic body shape for scores of years, Dreadnought and Folk and other variants didn’t appear until many years after the Parlour, so they are not quite as rare as we often think. To compliment the heritage of the parlour shape, we marry a Canadian Spruce top, with Indonesian Mahogany, ensuring we have a great tone, then we brace the top as we would a folk model, so that we get a tremendous sound projection. This model has an onboard Tanglewood EX4 EQ system, with 4 band graphic, so it can be used live or in the studio, and if you zoom in on the picture you will note the lovely hand inlaid genuine timber rosette which we think finishes the instrument off perfectly. Our classic dreadnought is inspired by the instrument shape so revered across musical generations. From Elvis to the Eagles, Led Zeppelin to Clapton, so many great songs have been written and immortalised on instruments of this body style, so we have to always have this model available to meet demand. We use a Canadian Spruce top, braced in a tapered system with quarter sawn spruce, to give an instant aural appeal straight out of the box. We maintain the classically understated natural look of the instrument in our styling, and it’s one of the few model ranges we have that looks both contemporary yet slightly vintage at the same time. This Roadster II model is our left handed Folk size acoustic. It has a Canadian Spruce top married to an Indonesian Mahogany back and sides for a classic voice tone. We created this model after being inspired by Folk shaped left handed guitars that Paul McCartney often plays, and knowing everyone may not have the same purchase budget, we’ve tried to make the guitar as competitively priced as we can without sacrificing the integrity of the components.
