Meagan De Lima is a Toronto singer-songwriter crafting R&B music that comes from a place of heart-centered sweetness and compassion. Together, herself and producer Mark Pelli (Sabrina Claudio, Chris Brown) blend contemporary R&B with acoustic soul that is warm, earthy, and lush.

Both her grandparents originated from Goa, India, and Meagan’s parents were born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. Her grandfathers were both jazz musicians who toured in India, Africa, and Canada when they immigrated in the ’60s. This formed her natural affinity for music at a young age. Meagan fell in love with singing at a young age, belting songs by Toni Braxton at home. Music was a safe harbour for her growing up with mental health challenges, reconciling her parent’s health battles, and finding the silver lining in constant change as a resilient songwriter.

Her records are at equal turns vulnerable and relatable to anyone dealing with similar personal struggles. Highlights of her career include performing for President Obama, the Invictus Games, and opening for Kehlani with the group TRP.P at Pride Festival. She was awarded Canada’s Top Artist for Social Change (judges: Director X, Tegan and Sara) and made her performance and acting debut in the film, “Learn to Swim” on Netflix.

Meagan has been featured on Apples “Best New Songs List,” Amazon’s “Breakthrough R&B” and Spotify’s New Music Friday, Fresh Finds, Mood Ring, and Just Vibing. She will be releasing her debut project “Honesty” in 2024.
