Gary “Biscuit” Bennett is a professional English session guitarist and bassist and a fully RGT@LCM certificated private tutor working primarily in the London & Essex.
Gary is also a member of the D’Addario Education Collective as well as an endorsing artist for BOSS, D’Addario/Planet Waves, Hartke, Hypnotic, Ibanez and Xvive and has almost 30 years experience in the music industry, including teaching and live performance together with studio/recording work and also music journalism both at home in the United Kingdom and also internationally, and has experience in all genres.
He was initially discovered by Larry Hartke, owner of (Hartke Bass Amplification Systems) in 2007, who contacted him and offered him an Artist endorsement deal with his company after hearing his music on the Internet. Larry had been looking for his “Hartke’s Best unsigned Bass player Worldwide” at that time and awarded Gary that honour along with only two other Bassist’s…and the rest so they say, is History.
Gary’s main focus these days is as a private Tutor conducting One to One Guitar and Bass lessons in London/Essex and says he never goes far without either his Tanglewood Discovery or Winterleaf Acoustic guitars… or both, as they are always in demand and he states that the looks, quality and playability of those guitars is “Second to none”
